MJ Ervin & Associates and Kent Marketing Services Limited Announce Merger
Calgary, AB - October 30, 2009 - Kent Marketing Services, Canada's leading retail gasoline industry data service, and,
MJ Ervin & Associates, Canada's leading downstream petroleum consultancy, have announced their merger, effective November 1st.
Kent Marketing Services provides retail petroleum sales data on more than 8000 outlets over 302 markets across Canada, and has provided this valuable industry analysis for over 35 years. Its merger with MJ Ervin & Associates will represent a consolidation of the range of petroleum-related data analysis, consulting, and performance benchmarking services formerly provided by these two separate organizations.
In announcing the merger, Michael Ervin, President of MJ Ervin & Associates, said “This merger will have the advantage of pooling the resources of our two companies towards a common set of clients while strengthening our future growth opportunities.”
Mr. Ervin will assume the role of Vice President and Director of Consulting Services in the newly merged company, which will ultimately be known as Kent Marketing Services. Mr. Richard Doyle will remain as President of Kent Marketing Services.
The merger of Kent Marketing Services and MJ Ervin & Associates brings into being a Canadian-based consulting firm providing a broad range of research, analysis, and strategic insights relating to one specific industry: the downstream petroleum sector. Their active clients will include governments, industry associations, integrated oil companies, independent (non-refiner) marketers, and large-volume petroleum buyers.
